being a cat sure is hard

man I love this cat

Hey guys! I don’t normally do this, but I’d appreciate it if you could take a second and hear out this little dude’s story.

My good friend, Alaina, has one huge heart and took this adorable little foster kitten, aptly named Foster, under her loving wing, despite having come to her with a rather unfortunate but misdiagnosed medical issue. She has been diligently working with this sweetheart to help nurse him back to health so that she can one day find him a loving home! Unfortunately, she was dished some pretty bad news recently and needs our help.

The Kitty Nitty Gritty

Foster was taken in with what was thought to be a swollen anus. After countless enemas and manually helping the kitten go to the bathroom, the condition failed to ebb. Alaina finally got the chance to bring him to a specialist and had x-rays done. As it turns out, Foster was born with an improperly formed anus so it makes it incredibly hard for him to poop. In order to fix this and possibly make life better for him, he needs to be put under anesthesia and have a catheter placed in his anus to expand it and allow him to poop properly. The only problem is that this is around $200+ for each treatment and the reality of the matter is that she may have to go in 3-4 times just to help this little guy out. Though her heart is bottomless, her wallet is not, and she has already put in more money than she’s able to just to help Foster out. This adorable little guy deserves a shot at being a happy, healthy cat— so here’s where you come in!

Meow can I help?

Foster has his very own campaign set up on GoFundMe to cover all of his current and future medical costs. All you have to do is click this link and click the big ol’ donate button. Every dollar helps, so don’t worry about what you’re able to afford— every bit you donate goes to helping this little guy lead a happy life and hopefully find a loving family.

If you’re tight on cash or just can’t afford to donate, simply clicking the reblog button and giving a signal boost can help Foster out, and comfort his mom knowing her cute little duder is one step closer to getting the medical assistance he needs.

Thank you guys for passing this along, and hopefully we can get this little guy the care he needs to be a happy (and successfully pooping) kitten!

If you have any questions, feel free to drop an ask and I will help in any way I can. Alaina and I thank you times a million!

Update: His first surgery went really well today! The surgeon created small incisions in his anus to hopefully help expand it and make it easier for the little guy, but he still needs you help! Thanks for the reblogs and keep sharing! xo
